Who we are recruiting for:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established real estate investment and asset management group, based in Vancouver, that owns and operates a 700,000 sq ft portfolio of predominantly office and retail assets.

 Daily responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP – Leasing, you will be responsible for lease administration for the portfolio:

·       Responsible for overseeing and tracking the leases of the company’s portfolio.

·       Coordinate with legal and leasing departments to draft all legal documents for new leases, renewals, expiries, assignments, terminations, etc.

·       Draft ancillary agreements for tenant storage and parking.

·       Collect deposits and coordinate with tenants to track and obtain signatures on all documents.

·       Maintain up-to-date marketing materials and on-line presence for company listings.

·       Maintain internal tracking of lease information regarding tenant mix, rights of first refusal, exclusive use clauses.

·       Distribution of lease related information to the appropriate department with the company.

Experience/skills required:

·       Diploma or Certificate in office administration, legal office assistant or paralegal training is an asset.

·       Proven proficiency in reading and understanding lease documents & contracts.

·       2 -5 years of experience in retail & office lease coordination.

·       Solid understanding of lease administration process.

·       Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills.

·       Attention to detail.

·       Ability to identify leasing issues and communicate to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

·       Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·       Knowledge of CAD is an asset.

·       Knowledge of Yardi or other similar system is an asset but not required.

Compensation offered:

·       Base salary: $75,000 - $85,000.

·       Discretionary bonus.

·       Extended health and dental.

·       RRSP contribution.
